About Us
Tin Man Oils is a small, independent condiment company based in Saxapahaw, North Carolina. We started out selling ferments like sauerkraut and kimchi at the farmers’ market, hauling coolers, showing up in all weather, and building this thing batch by batch. That same DIY, hands-on approach still drives us.
Our chili oils pull from flavor traditions we have crossed paths with in kitchens, travels, and the kind of late-night cooking that comes from equal parts instinct and curiosity. We do not pretend to reinvent global foodways. We take ingredients we respect and create our own version with grit, care, and a lot of flavor.
Taylor leads production, sourcing, and recipe development. Alison shapes the visual identity and communication of the brand and brings her design and HR experience to how we operate. We are supported by a small crew of part-time helpers who work with us behind the scenes to keep everything moving.
At our core, we are a small team making finishing oils with intention, creativity, and a willingness to take risks. Nothing here is mass produced. Nothing is phoned in. Just real people making real food that is meant to level up whatever you are cooking.
